JMES is working with a highly regarded Private Equity Fund as they seek to add an Investment Manager to their team. With a top quartile track record of performance and a flexible investment mandate across special situations and growth equity, they provide transformational capital to businesses across Australia and New Zealand. With deep operational expertise and a commitment to partner closely with their portfolio companies over the journey, the Fund plays an active role in the development of the companies’ performance and culture and seeks to drive enhanced capabilities that will allow them to realise their full potential. Given the active mandate and ability to deploy capital, this represents an opportunity to join a Fund where you will have exposure to all elements of Private Equity and be part of an ambitious yet collegiate team.
As an Investment Manager you’ll work across the full lifecycle of Private Equity investing including sourcing and acquiring investment opportunities, working with portfolio companies to ensure delivery of strategic and operational transformation and working with the team to continue to drive performance of the Fund, ensuring positive commercial and cultural outcomes. You will also play a key role in mentoring and helping to upskill the less experienced members of the team, leading them through investment processes and diligence.
Successful applicants will likely have between 5 and 8 years’ work experience and will have existing Private Capital investing experience which could have been complemented by prior time spent in transactional corporate finance or management consulting. You will have a strong academic track record and will be able to display a high level of curiosity as a key personal characteristic. You will be self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse but like-minded group of individuals.
