We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and astute investor to join a prominent, highly regarded Family Office investing across numerous asset classes and geographies with long term capital providing the opportunity to build an enduring portfolio. They are now seeking a Portfolio Manager to partner the CIO in this exciting journey ahead.
You will act as the principal partner to the CIO overseeing the strategic and tactical management of the Family Office global investment portfolio. The role combines strategic asset, portfolio construction, manager research & selection, execution, risk management and reporting with increasing leadership across the investment platform.
You will have multiple responsibilities including:
- Partner with the CIO to optimise the strategic asset allocation and lead portfolio construction
- Sourcing and evaluating potential opportunities across a broad range of asset classes including global equities, private equity, venture capital, private credit, real assets, hedge funds and opportunistic strategies
- Conduct primary due diligence on external managers and direct investments
- Oversee the execution process including structuring, negotiation, documentation and funding
- Mentor junior investment talent and build bench strength
- Monitoring of portfolio level risk exposures
- Act as CIO delegate when required
Some of your key characteristics will include:
- 10+ years’ experience working in institutional investing experience within a sovereign wealth fund, super funds, global investment manager, leading private equity platform, family office and or asset consulting firm.
- Demonstrated track record in managing multi-asset portfolios including asset allocation, manager research, portfolio management
- Transaction deal and execution experience
- Familiar with private markets and track record of investment decision making across asset classes
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail and able to communicate and translate complexity in simple terms
- Have completed a bachelor’s degree in commerce/economics/business or similar Postgraduate qualifications with CFA highly regarded
