JMES has been exclusively mandated by a highly regarded, Australian specialist investment manager to appoint an Investment Director for their successful private capital platform. This is a rare opportunity to join an industrial growth strategy, working in close partnership with senior investment leaders as the platform continues to scale, playing a meaningful role in the continued build out of the strategy.
The team partners with high-growth, profitable industrials businesses across Australia and New Zealand, those with a clear strategic direction and strong industry positioning. Targeting companies with $10m+ EBITDA and deploying a flexible investment approach, the team is founder-aligned and actively supports portfolio companies with strategic partnership, value creation and exit flexibility.
The role holder will take ownership across the full investment lifecycle, including originating and assessing opportunities, leading transaction execution, managing diligence and investment committee materials, and working closely with portfolio companies’ post-investment to drive growth, strategy and value creation.
This is a unique opportunity that would appeal to those who will relish the ability to genuinely partner with management teams to drive the growth journeys of the businesses and be laser focused on souring great companies and delivering superior investment returns.
To be successful you will have ideally 9+ years’ experience gained from a combination of private capital investing and M&A execution. You will thrive in an environment where you're responsible for originating investment opportunities, working with founders and management teams to drive value creation and will be seeing the opportunity to help lead the investment strategy of a top-tier Australian private market investor.
