About the Opportunity
Investment Associates – Growth Equity

• International Growth Investor

• 2 newly created roles

• Hands on operational exposure

Our client is an international private investment firm, headquartered in the US, who provide long-term equity capital to mid-market and growth focused, privately held companies in partnership with founders and business owners. Their Australian business continues to grow and as a result are seeking to hire two Investment Associates to join their Sydney team.

With a proven investment track record in Australia and well respected global institutional investors, the mandate allows the team to invest flexibly in both minority and majority positions across a broad range of industries and sectors and over a longer-term time horizon in Australia. The team works in close partnership with the management teams across their portfolio to assist them with their growth journeys and create lasting impact. Joining the team you’ll have exposure from day one across all aspects of investing and portfolio work.

Candidates will likely have 2-4 years transactional M&A experience gained from either an investment bank or independent corporate advisory firm. You will have gained solid exposure to end-to-end M&A transactions and will have sound technical financial modelling and analytical skills. Complementing your technical experience, you will have a humble and down to earth manner and will be able to build meaningful relationships with partner businesses, taking time to understand people and the drivers of their business. You will display an inquisitive mindset and will have a patient and long-term view on building your investing career. This represents the chance to join a highly collaborative team with a supportive culture and help to build on the successes achieved to date.
