· Leading Investment Manager & Asset Owner
· Global Investment Mandate
· Exciting growth initiatives across Real Assets
· Sydney based
Our client is looking to hire a Senior Portfolio Analyst to join their Infrastructure and Real Assets investment team. This team is responsible for building one of the largest infrastructure portfolios in Australia, and actively originates, executes and manages a diverse portfolio of traditional, core-plus, infrastructure-like and real assets in Australia and globally.
With a greater emphasis on direct investing to grow a maturing portfolio, my client is looking to hire a Senior Portfolio Analyst who will play an active role in:
· Optimising the performance of the existing infrastructure portfolio
· Identifying and quantifying investment risk in relation to overall portfolio allocation and exposure
· Evaluating new investment opportunities from a portfolio fit and risk perspective
· Drive initiatives that improve the overall risk and exposure management framework
To do so, the Senior Portfolio Analyst’s key responsibilities will include:
· Leading portfolio analysis and thorough data analytics
· Generating relevant benchmarks and meaningful insights that are value-add to the current and future state of the infrastructure portfolio
· Collating and extrapolating from external and internal data sources in a meaningful way to provide insights that will directly influence investment and portfolio decision making
· Utilising and improving on portfolio and risk management tools to create insightful analysis of portfolio risks, return and exposures
As an employer they have a unique high performing collaborative corporate culture. They have an experienced and respected leadership team that embraces equality, diversity, individual thinking and creativity.
It is expected that you will likely have ~2-7 years’ total experience in some combination of portfolio construction and analysis, risk management and/or investing in funds management, banking or superannuation fund. Through this experience, you will have developed the ability to interpret and generate value from large data sets, strong financial modelling capabilities and the ability to communicate and project manage effectively. The ability to utilise Power BI/Python coding and AI tools is desirable but not essential. Prior private markets and/or infrastructure investment experience would highly desirable.
The role would best suit an individual with a curious mindset, the ability to think strategically and who would find satisfaction in delivering insights and analysis that directly impacts and improve a complex, growing portfolio of investments.
