The Firm

Our client is one of Australia’s largest and most successful private equity firms, investing across a handful of carefully chosen strategies. The strong team-based approach coupled with a consistent and disciplined investment focus has contributed greatly to their healthy returns. This opportunity is based within the team of their most recent investment offering, launching in 2021, providing exposure to top-tier global PE investments, with a key focus on co-investments alongside leading global sponsors.

The Role

Our client is looking for a Senior Associate Director to join their expanding Sydney team and support the continued growth of their highly regarded platform. You will play a key role across all elements of the deal process from origination, diligence, execution and relationship building with global partners and investors alike. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Management of transaction processes

• Evaluation of investment opportunities & leading due diligence activities

• Preparation of investment committee papers & investor reporting materials

• Relationship building & maintenance with internal & external stakeholders both here and overseas

• Training & mentoring of junior team members

The successful candidate will bring the following:

• 5-8+ years’ experience in some combination of M&A, consulting & investing

• Demonstrable interest in private equity investing

• Excellent financial, analytical & commercial acumen with strong attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal & communication skills

• Self-starter who enjoys new challenges & thrives in a dynamic environment
