Our client is a global operations services business supporting complex, time-critical environments across multiple international markets. As part of a broader regional transformation, the ANZ business is centralising its finance leadership capability in Sydney and has created a new General Manager Finance – Australia & New Zealand role.
Reporting to the regional CFO, this position will oversee financial reporting, governance and financial control across Australia and New Zealand while supporting improvements in finance processes, systems and operational performance. The role will partner closely with both regional leadership and global finance teams and will play a key role in strengthening financial visibility and governance across a complex, multi-site environment.
The role will entail:
Leading the financial reporting process and preparation of statutory and management accounts across ANZ
Ensuring compliance with tax, regulatory and financial reporting requirements across both jurisdictions
Providing technical accounting leadership including IFRS implementation and complex accounting matters
Strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks across the regional business
Driving improvements in finance processes and systems, including alignment with global finance initiatives
Supporting regional leadership through enhanced financial insight, balance sheet oversight and working capital management
Leading and developing a regional finance team across accounting, treasury and payroll functions
The successful candidate will likely be CA / CPA qualification (or equivalent) with strong technical accounting capability, ideally 10 + years’ experience across accounting roles within large private, multinational or listed organisations. You will have proven leadership experience managing finance teams within complex, multi-entity environments, a strong knowledge of IFRS and financial governance frameworks and a collaborative leadership style with the ability to partner effectively with operational and corporate stakeholders
