2026 has started with plenty of activity here at JMES with a number of mandates across Client Coverage, Capital Markets, Risk & Finance, Private Capital & Alternatives and some Corporate & Treasury mandates to boot.
This year brings dynamic energy, ambition, and a focus on action, freedom, and reinvention after the more introspective Year of the Snake. This fiery year encourages boldness and breaking from old habits, but requires balancing that energy with patience and emotional stability.
Leaning into some of the messaging:
Fire amplifies passion, intensity, and speed - early in the year we are seeing a good amount of this.
Energy is fast-paced, dynamic, adventurous, and action-oriented - similarly post the Xmas break plenty of excitement for 2026.
Themes are renewal, breaking free, decisive action, courage, and taking risks - rolling from a strong 2025 we are certainly getting a sense of firms [and individuals] looking at new growth areas for investment and financing...not just care and maintenance.
What this can mean for you:
Heightened energy - opportunity, and freedom, but requiring balance.
Outward movement - pursue goals and embrace new experiences.
Take initiative - act on your desires, and avoid overthinking; but stay grounded.
