About the Opportunity
Vice President, International Trade Finance

·         Leading International Bank with long tenure in Australia

·         Trade & Receivables Finance – Origination & Execution

·         Dedicated product solutions team

This leading international bank has deep and trusted relationships in Australia, regionally and globally and offers a broad range of financing and capital markets solutions to their corporate and institutional clients. Part of the bank’s continued growth is now expanding their product offering in International Trade & Transaction Banking, a globally recognised platform operating across more than 40 geographies.

Based in Sydney and reporting to the Head of Australia as Vice President, you will work alongside senior leadership to identify, pitch and win new mandates across corporate and institutional client segments, while managing existing trade-related relationships. You will be central to bringing world-class trade and transaction banking capabilities to an established client base, with the full backing of a global institution. As part of a regional team, you will be responsible for all aspects of International Trade origination, preparing pitches and client proposals, client meetings, market research and due diligence and supporting the execution of selected transactions. In addition, you will manage all aspects of international settlements, including letters of credit, bank guarantees and trade & commodity finance and serve as a subject matter expert for broader transaction banking; identifying clients that require import, export and trade finance solutions.

You will hold a Bachelor degree or higher in Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline with 7–10 years+ of relevant experience in trade finance, commodity finance and/or receivables & supply chain finance at a financial institution in Australia. Your experience will include strong origination and client management skills, a demonstrated transaction track record and established network of corporate and institutional relationships in Australia. Technically, you will have deep knowledge of trade and receivable finance products, in particular guarantees, letters of credit, trade loans and working capital solutions, as well as solid grounding in corporate banking and financial statement analysis.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to take initiative, a natural collaborator and strong communicator, written and verbal, with the organisational ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. Above all, someone excited by the chance to continue building a growing business.

Full working rights in Australia are required to be considered for this role.
