Our client is a global, diversified financial services institution that is seeking to hire an established Director to its Structured Finance & Securitisation team in Sydney. As part of a highly experienced team, you will assume both a senior hands-on analytical role as well as mentoring position - reporting to the Head of the Australian and New Zealand business. The team is responsible for working with a diverse set of financial institution clients across multiple asset classes and a key outcome of this role will be to analyse and rate structured finance capital markets transactions.
As a senior team member, you will lead client interactions and will utilise your in-depth credit and structuring experience to ensure sound credit principles are applied and will both run, interpret and amend models whilst also reviewing the work of others, providing coaching and support to less experienced team members. In addition to transaction and client-based work, you will assist in the ongoing operational management of the team and assist in training and development of team members.
You will have 8+ years of relevant experience in a securitisation, structured finance or credit risk role; likely gained in a banking, client issuer, corporate trustee or ratings firm platform. In addition, you will demonstrate exceptional technical and analytical skills, will be a confident written and verbal communicator who enjoys working in a deal and deadline driven environment. You will have highly developed financial modelling and Excel skills and be confident interacting with clients and discussing technical analysis.
