We're looking for a seasoned and strategic Assistant Group Treasurer to be based in Sydney and provide support to the Group Treasurer in managing and evolving the treasury function across capital planning, funding, liquidity, hedging and strategic financial risk management.

What You'll Do:

• Lead & execute loan facilities & capital market transactions

• Optimise liquidity, manage daily cash flows & oversee hedging programs

• Engage with debt investors, banks & financial advisors

• Support strategic planning & Board-level reporting

• Drive automation & AI innovation across treasury workflows

• Mentor a small, high-performing treasury & insurance team

• Help develop a sustainable finance framework aligned with ESG goals

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• 8+ years of experience, ideally having spent time in a lead investment bank

• Strong experience in treasury, capital markets & risk management

• Proven ability to manage debt programs & negotiate funding terms

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement & leadership skills

• Strong technical skills, especially in Excel & treasury systems

• Energy & Infrastructure sector experience a big plus  

• Experience in both regulated & non-regulated transmission sectors preferred

• Professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CPA, CTP) are a plus
