Our client is a corporate adviser and investment partner to high quality private capital investors (e.g. PE/VC) and businesses. The firm was founded by a highly experienced team who saw the opportunity to create a unique “merchant banking” model within the Australian M&A landscape. As the firm continues to grow, they have a need for further hires for the team at the Analyst and Associate levels. The firm seeks to advise and invest alongside its clients, to ensure alignment on long term value creation. As such, you will gain experience in working closely with high calibre private capital investors and businesses both during the transaction and over the course of the investment.
As an Analyst / Associate you will support the team with all elements of advisory deal execution including valuation and financial modelling and leading due diligence workstreams and will be able to work autonomously through a deal process. Further, you will work with private capital providers to prepare investment proposals and presentations and engage effectively with management teams and external investors and clients. Successful applicants will likely have gained 2-5 years’ corporate advisory experience from either an investment bank or leading independent corporate advisory firm. You will be a self-starter who displays a genuine interest and curiosity in investing, will be comfortable working as part of a small team and will be excited by the opportunity to work in close partnership with clients as a trusted corporate adviser and investment partner. You will have first class interpersonal skills and attention to detail and will have gained varied deal experience from your time in advisory.
