• Drive a high-growth mandate both locally in ANZ & globally

• Exposure to a top-tier, Silicon Valley-based Executive Team

• Excellent first-move out of Deal Advisory or those wanting a bigger platform

My client is a global technology business, listed on the ASX, with an internationally recognized product and brand. As a global leader boasting an ~$18 bn market cap, an Executive Team based in Silicon Valley with deep expertise in the tech scene and a mandate to take its product into new markets, they are well-positioned for growth in 2024. In support of this, they are looking to hire a Manager, Corporate Development to support their M&A and other, broader growth initiatives.

My client’s Corporate Development team is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing the company’s strategic acquisitions and investments globally. The Manager, Corporate Development will be a key contributor to the execution of these processes and will support the firm’s decision making around whether to build, buy, invest or partner on potential growth opportunities.

The role’s key functional accountabilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the identification, evaluation, due diligence, risk management & execution of M&A/Growth Opportunities

• Develop & research data driven recommendations based on market & industry insights

• Manage discrete elements of the M&A process including market scans, target evaluation, analysis & financial modelling

• Contribute to building & maintaining the pipeline of growth opportunities

• Navigate & build effective relationships with key stakeholders in Australia & internationally

• Support ad hoc strategic programs of work as needed

Successful candidates will likely have 4+ years’ of relevant experience from corporate development, corporate finance, Big 4 advisory, investment banking, principal investing or management consulting. With this experience in mind, the candidate will be highly numerate and confident working with financial models. In addition, the candidate must have the gravitas, polish and confidence to handle a diverse array of stakeholders and have experience performing complex cross functional projects.

All applicants must have full working rights for Australia to be considered for this role.
