Our client is a well-established private alternative investment management firm who has a long track record of providing flexible capital solutions to clients. They are looking to hire an experienced Director for their Sydney based Corporate Investments business with a focus on providing debt capital solutions to mid-market companies across Australia and New Zealand. The firm provides flexible and tailored debt facilities to companies seeking debt capital, predominantly to support M&A / growth activity and working capital solutions.
Sydney based and reporting to the Managing Director, head of the business you will take responsibility for leading and executing transactions whilst also leading origination and client relationship management efforts for the firm. As a senior member in the team you will also help to lead and mentor the more junior members and education the broader group with respect to corporate debt investments. With a strong focus on cultivating new relationships and proactively generating new investment opportunities you will play a key role in delivering strategic solutions for clients and will be able to then lead and manage transactions through the entire lifecycle.
To be successful you will have gained 8-10 years’+ experience in debt advisory, corporate / leveraged / structured finance or will have spent time in a credit investment fund. Complementing your technical and transaction capability will be a natural ability to build meaningful client relationships and to originate new investment opportunities to assist in driving the team and business’ performance. You will enjoy client and transaction origination as well as coaching and mentoring others and will be team focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
